Media’s Role in Peace Building Webinar
Date: Wednesday 9th June
Time: 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm
The media can serve as a driver of peace in diverse ways, building bridges between people and groups, improving governance, increasing knowledge of complex issues, providing early warning of potential conflicts, as an outlet to express emotions, and as a motivator for action to promote peace.
This webinar will be facilitated by Declan Harvey, broadcaster and journalist. Declan will be joined by our panel including journalists Leona O’Neill, Alex Kane and Amanda Ferguson. We will hear their perspective on the role they played in reporting peace building and draw comparisons on both their experiences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to present live questions to our esteemed panel.
